A Rehearsal Dinner honoring Elizabeth Gunby and Allen Wilkerson was held on the eve of their wedding, Friday, the 24th of June, 2016 at 6:00 in the evening at The RiverMill Event Centre in Columbus, Georgia. Hosting this special event were Allen's parents, Avery and Kim Wilkerson. Elizabeth and Allen were joined by family members, close friends, and members of the Bridal Party to celebrate their marriage that would take place the next day, Saturday, June 25, at First Presbyterian Church. Attendees were greeted on the outside by members of the Wilkerson's Supper Club with palm trees on either side of the entry gate to the beautiful garden area along with servers with trays of the specialty drinks of the evening and on the inside with a beautifully decorated table with their names and table numbers for seating. The flowers and decorations throughout the RiverMill were magnificent!
Guests then enjoyed refreshments inside along with passed hors d'oeuvres and visiting with family members or friends. Following the cocktail hour everyone sat at their assigned seats to enjoy a fabulous dinner consisting of Apple Bibb Salad with Sweet Mustard Vinaigrette, Braised Boneless Short Rib with Croissant Crusted Grouper over Gnocchi Ala Romaine, and Broccolini and Whole Grain Mustard Demi. Dessert was served buffet style following the dinner and toasts and consisted of German Chocolate Groom's Cake, Bananas Foster, Crepe Station, Mini Cheesecakes, and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
During dinner a delightful slide show ran with photos of the happy couple with their families, with their friends, and then of them together. Toasts from members of the family, bridal party, and close family friends followed dinner. Then it was on to the After Party and dancing to the tunes of the 10:30 Band, which included Elizabeth's Uncle, Jim Gunby. It was a wonderful way to end the day before the wedding festivities and with special friends and family attending it helped make this night special for everyone!
